作者：N. Allan 西洋双陆棋是一种在游戏过程中需要多次改变战术的游戏，正是由于这个原因，灵活性是所有热衷西洋双陆棋的玩家所必须的，实现战术的能力以及作出必要的变通对于成为成功西洋双陆棋玩家来说是非常重要的。我喜欢的战术是 Back Game，一种不太流行的战术，因为这种战术可能会在比赛中落后，需要碰你的对手来为自己赢得获胜的机会。
在决定使用 Back Game 之前，需要确定对手主盘上最重要的角点，如果你占领两个角点，即使你的对手移动比你快，你仍处于强势。 保持两个角点，当你投出大骰点，不得不丢弃它们，这样是没有益处的。所以重要的是有一、两个你可以移动到自己的主盘从而占领角点的浮动棋子，当机会来临时，你可以碰线对手，它们很难进入。
这样看起来非常容易，但事实远不是这样，可能会出现许多问题，你的对手会投出难以置信的骰子，你投出的骰子不一定适合你的游戏计划（即你移动的过快），当然，如果你的对手决定不参与你的游戏，你可以非常舒服，真正的 “Backgammon”（以3背积分的方式赢得比赛）。
